We work with 40 professional associations who act as Verifying Organisations (VOs) for CNHC. They use their in-depth knowledge of the therapies they represent to check to the training, insurance and experience of complementary healthcare practitioners wishing to register with CNHC and verify that they are eligible to apply for CNHC registration.
VOs work with us to communicate the professional advantages of CNHC registration to their members and how setting standards protects the public, fosters accountability and increases trust in the complementary therapies. We see this as a good example of the mutually beneficial relationship between CNHC and professional associations in the complementary healthcare sector.
Professional Associations provide invaluable support and services to their members and act in the interests of the practitioners and professions they represent. CNHC is an independent voluntary regulator, established with government support and we act in the public interest.
CNHC strongly recommends that all CNHC registrants belong to a professional association in addition to CNHC registration. Your association plays an important role in providing a range of services to you as a professional practitioner. CNHC registration demonstrates you have met UK wide standards and sets you apart from practitioners who do not hold the CNHC quality mark.
