Ann has had an extensive career working in the regulation of both conventional and herbal medicines throughout the globe in many therapeutic areas. She had been involved for many years with the education, training and professional standards in her own field of regulatory professionals, and more recently with the regulation of other healthcare professionals. She has experience in setting and assessing criteria for continuing professional development (CPD).
She believes there is an important role for the integration of complementary therapies in healthcare, with ever increasing research evidence supporting their value. She sees CHNC as having an important role in giving both the public and other healthcare professionals confidence through voluntary regulation - as all CNHC Registrants are assured to provide excellent standards of patient care.
Ann would like to contribute to the wider dissemination of CNHC values, education and development to increase the integration and acceptance of complementary therapies in mainstream UK healthcare.
