The Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre (SROMC) at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an experienced Complementary Therapist who is qualified in the delivery of at least 4 complementary therapy modalities to join their team. Experience of working within an NHS healthcare setting is essential. The post holder must hold a teaching qualification and have evidence of developing and delivering complementary therapy education programmes. You will also have line management and leadership responsibilities and have a keen interest in future service developments.

The SROMC opened in March 2014; it is an award winning facility that provides integrated day case chemotherapy, acute oncology services, out-patient clinics and access to Health & Wellbeing facilities. The health and wellbeing area incorporates their Macmillan Patient Information Manager and a Macmillan Welfare and Benefits Adviser. This provides excellent opportunities to develop services to support patients through treatment, with education programs, complementary therapies, and support through their treatment and onwards to recovery and survivorship.

Essential requirements:
Complementary Therapy qualification e.g. Diploma in a core range of identified therapies i.e. (Reiki, Therapeutic Massage, Reflexology etc.) recognised by the CNHC or equivalent therapy body.

  • Salary: £26,565 to £35,577 pa, pro rata
  • Pay Band: 6
