‘Lay’ is defined as: ‘someone chosen for their relevant skills and experience. If, exceptionally, that person has also qualified as a complementary healthcare professional, actually or potentially regulated by CNHC, they should not normally have practised in that discipline or disciplines, in any way, for at least the three years preceding application, or during appointment’.
