The Sir William Rous Unit (SWRU) is the cancer unit for Kingston Hospital. They are seeking a volunteer complementary therapist.

The Unit consists of;

  • Ground Floor; clinic rooms, radiology and a Macmillan Centre
  • First Floor; The Marsden Chemotherapy Unit, Treatment rooms and Meeting room

Their volunteers are located in the SWRU and will meet people from all walks of life to the ability to listen without judgment is paramount to the role.  All the clients that you will meet have been diagnosed with cancer and may be undergoing treatment so you will be compassionate and empathetic.

You will need to be registered with the CNHC and be a member of a professional association.

  • Contract: Voluntary
  • Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 12midday & 1pm - 4pm
  • Closing date: 2 June 2019 23:59

The role will be for one session per week.

Please kindly note, you will be given an interview date between 10th – 14th June. The mandatory training day for this role will be on Friday 12th July. Please only apply for 1 role (other opportunities can be discussed at interview). Please only apply if you are able to attend the above dates.
