St Luke’s Hospice is looking for two post holders that will participate as a member of the Complementary Therapy Service team in the maintenance and development of agreed standards.  You will be responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of therapies provision in conjunction with the Complementary Therapy Manager.

You will be required to actively contribute to the development and well-being of the Complementary Therapy team and Service.  The post holder will be required to work over 2 sites as directed by the Complementary Therapy Manager and will be expected to comply with policy and practice at both sites.  There will also be a need to undertake some home visits.  Evening work will be included possibly one or two evenings per month.

The post holder is required to have IFA, ITEC, British Reflexology Association or equivalent registered qualification in Massage, Aromatherapy & Reflexology, with a minimum of two years post qualifications experience in practice. The post holder will have experience of working in a health care setting. Some teaching experience is desirable. It is expected that the post holder will be qualified in more than one complementary therapy. The post holder will be expected to complete the St Luke’s Hospice Foundation Course in Palliative and End of Life Care.

  • Salary: SCALE 4 depending on experience and qualification            
  • Hours: Up to 16 hours a week, available with some flexibility to cover early evening and weekend work
