Arthur Rank Hospice Charity supports people in Cambridgeshire who are living with a life-limiting illness. Delivered from their new location at Shelford Bottom, Cambridge and the Alan Hudson Day Treatment Centre in Wisbech, their care and services are provided free of charge. Their professional, compassionate and practical services deliver care, counselling and education, helping their patients and their loved ones to make every moment count.

They are proud to offer a Specialist palliative in-patient and day care for Fenland residents over the age of 18 which is provided at the North Cambridgeshire Hospital.  The Alan Hudson Day Treatment was opened in January 1998, thanks to the tremendous fundraising efforts of the local community.  It provides, under one roof, all the services required by patients with life-threatening illness, their families and carers.

As a Complementary Therapist, of this gold accredited ‘Best Employer’ Charity, you will holistically assess the patient’s needs within the complementary therapy guidelines; taking into account the diagnosis, physical and emotional needs and to make appropriate cross-referrals.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in a complementary therapy setting and previous experience of working in a multidisciplinary team. Experience in therapy/reflexology massage is required. You must have the ability to work under pressure and in difficult/emotional situations, with a good understanding of English language (spoken and written).

It is essential that you have a relevant High-level Qualification in Complementary Therapy related subject, registration or working towards registration with the CNHC, and Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.

  • Hours: 18 hours per week
  • Salary: £22,400 per annum pro rata
