How Hearings Work

A Hearing of a complaint by a CNHC Conduct & Competence or Health Panel is the third stage of the complaints process.

This means that:

  • A CNHC Complaints Officer has decided the case falls within the remit of what we are able to consider (see Types of Complaints)
  • A CNHC Investigating Committee will have decided that there is a case to answer (see The Complaints Process)

Where the case relates to the health of the registrant, it will be considered by a Health Panel. All other cases will be heard by a Conduct and Competence Panel.
