Laura graduated from the University of Lancaster in 2007. She then spent time working as a Paralegal for a trade union law firm in Manchester before completing the Legal Practice Course at the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice. Following her graduation Laura trained and qualified as a Solicitor with a Thames Valley Law Firm.  Having spent a year in private practice Laura decided to take up a role with the Health and Care Professions Council, where she worked as a Compliance Officer in the Fitness to Practice Department. She currently works for the Solicitors Regulatory Authority. Laura takes a keen interest in healthcare regulation and is passionate about the work of the CNHC.
